Process
1. Welcome and introduction (15 minutes)
- Icebreaker: each participant writes down and shares one personal and one professional goal.
- Introduce objectives and agenda.
2. Understanding personal values and motivators (60 minutes)
Activity: Values identification exercise
- Introduce the importance of values and motivators.
- Participants use value cards to identify and prioritise their top 10 values.
- Reflection and group discussion: how do these values align with their current life and career choices?
Tool: Personal Values Questionnaire
- Participants complete the questionnaire.
- Pair up and discuss how values influence decisions.
3. Developing a vision board (45 minutes)
Activity: Vision board creation
- Explain how vision boards help visualise goals.
- Provide magazines, scissors, glue, markers and poster boards.
- Participants create vision boards reflecting personal and professional goals.
- Present in small groups.
Tool: SMART goals framework
- Explain SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).
- Participants write down their top 3–5 goals using the SMART framework.
4. Developing an action plan (60 minutes)
Activity: Creating a 1-year action plan
- Introduce the action plan template (goals, steps, resources, timeline).
- Participants complete their action plans for their 3–5 SMART goals.
- Exchange plans with a partner for feedback.
- Group discussion: share insights, challenges and possible solutions.
5. Wrap-up and next steps (30 minutes)
- Summarise key takeaways and reflections.
- Check if objectives were reached.
- Encourage participants to review and update their action plans regularly.
- Closing remarks: motivational send-off and encouragement to stay connected.
