Your Next Five Moves Book Cover

A few months ago, I was working with a team that looked great on paper.

Smart people. Clear goals. Plenty of experience. But they were stuck.

They kept getting blindsided by shifting priorities, missed deadlines, and decisions that didn’t hold up under pressure.

At first, they thought it was a communication problem.

Then they blamed unclear roles.

Then burnout.

When I sat down with them, one thing became clear:

They weren’t thinking ahead.

Everyone was focused on the next task, not the next move.

So I ran a simple workshop based on a framework from entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David called Your Next Five Moves.

It’s not about fixing everything at once.

It’s about learning how to think strategically, individually and together.

By the end of the session, they had more clarity, better alignment, and a few smart moves already in progress.

No fluff. Just progress.

That’s the power of teaching a team how to think, not just what to do.

In this article, I’m going to walk you through the workshop I used to help them think strategically about their role, their team, and their next smart move.

If you're leading a team or part of one, the ability to make clear decisions, align with others, and stay focused on what matters is what separates average teams from great ones.

But here’s the truth:

Most people don’t learn how to think strategically.

They react.

They rush decisions.

They get stuck in the day-to-day and miss the bigger picture.

That’s why I believe strategic thinking isn’t just for senior leaders—it’s a team skill.

And when everyone learns how to think a few steps ahead, the whole team moves faster and more confidently.

What Participants Will Gain from This Workshop

By attending this workshop, participants get:

  1. Clarify what motivates them and what role they play best.
  2. Improve how they make decisions under pressure.
  3. Spot opportunities to grow and scale their impact.
  4. Learn how to build trust and alignment with others.
  5. Take action on one or two high-impact improvements right away.

This isn’t theory. It’s a practical session designed to get teams talking, thinking, and moving forward together, with a clear plan in hand.

Let’s get into it…

Conclusion

If you want your team to perform better, stop focusing only on what they’re doing—start focusing on how they’re thinking.

This workshop gives people the space, structure, and tools to do exactly that. It helps them step back, see the bigger picture, and make smarter decisions—together.

You don’t need long strategy days or complicated frameworks.

You just need a shared mindset.

Think ahead. Act with purpose. Build together.

And that starts with one conversation—your next move.

See you next week.
