Boundaries and Switching Off
This is a workshop where a team designs shared agreements to protect focus and rest when work and home share the same room. It is about how the team works together, not personal wellbeing coaching, and it is honest from the start that agreements alone cannot fix a team with too much work.

How the Boundaries and Switching Off Workshop Works
A step-by-step breakdown of the workshop process
1Step 1: Check-in, when work follows you home
Participants anonymously poll their out-of-hours work habits and share how their workdays end to create a baseline understanding of the team's culture.
2Step 2: Where our edges blur
The team identifies specific habits that erode focus and rest, categorizing them into two lanes on a shared board and voting on which habits to address first.
3Step 3: Protect focus together
Teams draft a shared weekly focus rhythm in breakout rooms, agreeing on focus blocks that everyone will protect, and identifying the minimum rules needed to maintain these blocks.
4Step 4: Off-hours and after-hours contact
Participants sort messages sent outside of hours into categories, discuss their implications, and agree on what constitutes acceptable off-hours communication.
