How the Roles and Responsibility Reset Workshop Works
A step-by-step breakdown of the workshop process
1Step 1: Frame the Problem and Introduce RACI
In this step, the facilitator sets the context for the workshop by discussing the importance of clear ownership and introduces the RACI framework to the team. Participants explore the implications of unclear ownership by reflecting on their experiences and expectations.
2Step 2: Identify Major Responsibilities
The team generates a comprehensive list of their major responsibilities and selects the top 8-12 to focus on during the mapping process. This involves collecting input from team members and prioritizing responsibilities through clustering and dot voting.
3Step 3: Map Current Ownership and Identify Gaps
Using the RACI chart, the team maps who currently plays which role for each responsibility. Members discuss and fill in who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed, identifying overlaps and gaps in ownership along the way.
