TRIZ
TRIZ is a structured creativity technique where you ask a group to imagine how they could guarantee the worst possible outcome for a goal they care about. Participants brainstorm all the counterproductive behaviours, habits, and decisions that would ensure failure. Then you flip it: the group looks at their list and identifies which of those destructive behaviours they are already doing.

How the TRIZ Workshop Works
A step-by-step breakdown of the workshop process
1Setup
In this initial phase, facilitators define the goal for the workshop and prepare the inverted version of that goal to set the stage for the brainstorming.
2Step 1: Generate the Worst Ideas
Participants brainstorm in small groups to generate as many ideas as possible on how to guarantee the worst possible outcomes for the goal. This phase encourages creativity and laughter.
3Step 2: Identify What You Are Already Doing
Each group reviews their list of worst ideas and identifies which of those behaviors are currently being practiced. This step focuses on honest reckoning without blame.
4Step 3: Decide What to Stop
The whole group prioritizes the behaviors identified in Step 2 that should be eliminated. Participants commit to stopping specific destructive behaviors that hinder progress.
